Power BI App

The eBECAS Power BI App allows you to securely connect your data from eBECAS/EDMISS into Microsoft Power BI. This integration enables you to build custom dashboards, track key performance metrics, and visualise trends across your organisation in real time.

It includes a custom connector for Power BI that does the heavy lifting of connecting to the eBECAS reports, making it easier to access and work with your data.

The Power BI App is available with selected subscription plans. Please check with your system administrator for more information.

How It Works

Once the Power BI App is installed, you can configure the dates for each report that you plan to use in Power BI.

Then, using our custom Power BI connector, you can start adding eBECAS/EDMISS reports to your Power BI. Once the reports are refreshed, manually or on schedule, the connector will pull the data from the reports using the dates set for the reports on the Power BI App configuration.

Configuration

Permissions Required
  • Utilities > Apps > View Apps

  • Utilities > Apps > Manage Apps

  1. Go to the Power BI App, and from the header, click on Configuration

  2. The list of reports available will display

  3. Locate the report you want to edit the date for and click on Edit

  4. Select the From and To Dates for the report

The maximum date range differs for each report to ensure performance and reliability. Reports that require heavy processing may be limited to shorter periods to avoid long load times and reduce system impact.

  1. Click on Save

  2. The next time the report you edited is refreshed in Power BI, it will use the updated dates.
