Offers Expiration Settings

Offer Expiration settings define how long an offer remains valid before it is automatically cancelled. Cancelling offers that are unlikely to convert is important as keeping expired offers active can be misleading, leading to inaccurate reports and wrong decisions.

Permissions Required

Utilities > Settings > Update Offers Settings

From the Utilities Menu, go to Settings > Offers.
Go to Offers Expiration section.

Enable and Setup Offers Expiration

To enable offers to expire automatically:

Select Enable Offers Expiration. An additional configuration area will expand where you can set the detailed expiry rules.
Configure the detailed options as explained below. You can apply both methods at the same time to control when offers expire.

Expire by Offer Date

Configure offers expiration based on the offer’s date.
To use this method, enable Expire by Offer Date, then set the following options:

Expire offers [Number] week(s) after the Offer Date
Define how many weeks after the Offer Date an offer will automatically expire.
You can enter a value between 1 and 52 weeks.
Don’t expire offers with a course starting in the future
If the expected offer expiry date is reached but the offer includes a course item with a future start date, the offer will not be cancelled.

Expire by Course Start Date

Configure offers expiration based on the earliest course start date within the offer.
To use this method, enable Expire by Course Start Date, then set the following option:

Expire offers [Number] week(s) relative to the earliest course start date
Define expiry based on the earliest course start date in the offer. Enter a positive number to expire that many weeks after the earliest start date, or a negative number to expire that many weeks before the earliest start date.
You can enter a value between -52 and 52 weeks.
