Update Students Pictures

Whether you're uploading a single photo or updating multiple student pictures in bulk, this article provides the file requirements and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process.

Considerations for Student Pictures

The student pictures must follow these requirements:

  • Format: The allowed formats are:

    • GIF Image (*.gif)

    • JPEG Image File (*.jpg, *.jpeg)

    • Portable Network Graphics (*.png)

    • Bitmaps (*.bmp)

    • TIFF Images (*.tif)

  • Image Size:

    • Maximum Width: 640px

    • Maximum Height: 640px

    • It is recommended the image is square, with equal width and height, and the student's face should be at the centre of the image.

  • File Size: Each image file must be under 5MB in size.

  • Image File Name BULK UPDATE ONLY: Each image file name must match the student number of the respective student.

Add, Update and Remove a Student Picture

Permissions Required
  • Students > View Students

  • Students > Edit Students

Follow these steps to add, update or remove a student picture:

  1. Go to the profile of the student that you want to manage the picture for.

  2. Click on the student picture icon.

  3. Take the intended action as required.

    1. Add: Choose a photo that meets the above requirements through the file uploader.

    2. Update: Click Update Picture. Then choose a picture and click on Update.

    3. Remove: Click on Remove Picture.

  4. Click Update to finish.

Add and Update Student Pictures in Bulk

Permissions Required
  • Students > View Students

  • Students > Edit Students

Follow these steps to add or update student photos in bulk.

Students without a student picture will have their photos added, while those who already have a student picture will have their images replaced with the uploaded ones.

  1. Go to the Search Students and click on the Update Student Pictures button in the dropdown menu.

  2. Select the image files by clicking the Select a file button, or drag and drop the image files into the uploader section.

  3. The added images will automatically start uploading to the students with matching student numbers.

  4. Review the uploaded files list and take any necessary follow-up actions for any problematic images.
