Students complete their available allocation tasks from the Class Selection menu in the Student Portal. When students have available selections to complete, the Class Selection menu displays a notification.
Subject Selection
Depending on the setup, students may need to select subjects before selecting classes.
If subjects are already assigned to the student’s Unit, the student does not need to select subjects before selecting classes. However, if subject allocation is available through the Student Portal, the student can still select or change subjects during the subject allocation window.
Class Selection
Once subjects are selected or assigned, students can select classes for those subjects during the class allocation window. Students can only select classes that are available to them based on the configured rules and class availability.
Classes without available places are not shown as available options for Student Self Allocation.
Submitted Selections
After a student submits a class selection, the selection is not final until it has been reviewed and confirmed by an administrator in eBECAS/EDMISS.
