Trusted Domains
The Trusted Domains for Embedding setting secures embedded widgets, such as agent lists and other public widgets, by controlling where they can be displayed.
Only websites added as trusted domains are allowed to load eBECAS/EDMISS widgets. If a widget is embedded on a website that is not listed, it will be blocked. This helps prevent third-party websites from displaying college information without authorisation.
How it Works
Each entry represents a single domain or subdomain that is trusted.
Widgets can only be embedded on websites that exactly match a listed domain.
Requests from any other domain are rejected automatically.
Add a Trusted Domain
From the Utilities menu, go to Settings > Security
From the Trusted Domains section, click the New icon at the top of the grid.
Do not include the protocol (http or https) or any special characters such as /.
Use the plain domain name only.Example: http://example.com
Example: portal.example.com
Click Update at the bottom of the page.
Important rules
One domain or subdomain per entry.
Wildcards are not supported.
For example, *.example.com cannot be used.
Both the main domain and subdomains must be added separately if required.
When to update this list
When embedding a widget on a new website.
When a website domain changes.
When removing access for an old or unused website.
This setting helps ensure widgets are only displayed on approved websites and prevents unauthorised embedding.
Update a Trusted Domain
From the Utilities menu, go to Settings > Security
In the Trusted Domains grid, click the domain you want to update.
Update the domain as required.
Click Update at the bottom of the page.
Delete a Trusted Domain
Deleting a trusted domain will immediately stop the widget from loading on that domain.
Remove the widget from the website before deleting the domain to avoid errors or blocked content appearing on the page.
From the Utilities menu, go to Settings > Security
In the Trusted Domains grid, click the Delete icon on the row you want to remove.
Click Update at the bottom of the page.
